Lauren Long is a freelance video editor and assistant editor. They have lived and worked in New York City for over a decade.

Lauren has credits on multiple projects for Wheelhouse Creative such as the documentary Magical Universe and a spot for ESPN’s 30 for 30 Shorts. They have freelanced for Manhattan Productions, Showtime Sports, Ogilvy & Mather, Humble, Suite Spot, Homestead, SweetEye, and Google Brand Studio creating short-form commercial content.

Branching away from commercials and into the world of TV documentary, Lauren has worked as an assistant editor for Divided Films on the Frontline episode “American Patriot”, on Jigsaw Productions’ six episode miniseries for A&E,The Clinton Affair, on Parish Project’s five episode miniseries for Showtime, Murder on the Bayou, and on RadicalMedia’s miniseries and specials for PBS, American Portrait.

Lauren has collaborated with director Nanette Burstein and editor Tal Ben-David on several projects since joining them on Hillary for Hulu, including Killer Sally for Netflix, and Elizabeth Taylor for HBO.

As a natural result of having friends in the independent music and drag performance scenes, Lauren has taken on more live event videography work. Their music video collaborations with up-and-coming artists like Madame Daley and simmerr are just the start of a new passion and aesthetic direction.
